Matt Layton ('22) and Gabby Jourdain ('24) named as SCISA Players of the week

Congratulations to two Calhoun Academy students who were named "Players of the Week" for the week of September 13th.

Varsity football player Matt Layton ('22) had 23 carries for 96 yards and 10 tackles with a fumble recovery. He helped lead the Cavaliers to victory against Lee Academy with a score 14-6.

"I am so happy to have been chosen as player of week,” said Layton, “and it’s a great honor to receive during my senior year.”

Cross-country runner Gabby Jourdain ('24) ran a 20:21 5K on Labor Day to finish first in her age group.

"I am honored to be recognized by SCISA. I have worked so hard to have a successful season," said Jourdain.
