President's Message
Welcome to the 2026-2027 academic and athletic year at Calhoun Academy. With the excitement of a new school year comes excitement to see all of our Cavaliers back on the fields, courts, courses, tracks, diamonds etc. We are extremely proud of our student athletes and look forward to a new athletic year and more championships. The most successful athletic programs are built on alignment. When students, parents, coaches, teachers, administrators, and our community all share the same vision, incredible things happen. Our vision for our booster club and athletic department is simple: Provide the necessities to assist our administration, faculty and coaches in continuing to develop young people with good character. Here is where the rubber meets the road. We need your help. As the saying goes, “It takes a village. We need help to continue to provide for our young people. If you have not visited campus lately, I challenge you to visit and see the continued improvements to our facilities. This cannot continue to happen without increased participation. I often compare our booster club and athletic department to the stock market. Long-term success is built through consistent investment—not overnight gains.
Rome wasn’t built in a day. Continued partnerships, patience, and selfless service are the trademarks of any successful area of life. We are turning the corner. If we want exceptional opportunities and facilities for our student-athletes, we must all invest in the future of our programs. Rising costs for equipment, transportation, facilities, officials, and competition continue to challenge schools across the country. While many of those expenses are beyond our control, our response is within our control. Whether through sponsorships, donations, volunteering, fundraising, or simply supporting our events, every investment strengthens the experiences we are able to provide for our student-athletes. Together, we can continue building programs that our community can be proud of for years to come.
Thank you for trusting Calhoun Academy, supporting our programs, and believing in our student-athletes. Together, we can create an environment where young people are challenged, supported, loved, and prepared for success far beyond the playing field. I’ll close with one of the mantras from our state champion baseball team…WIN THE DAY!!!
