CA students give back in time for the holidays
This year's school theme is "Small, town...big hearts." Students have been learning about giving back, especially within the community.
FCA sponsored “Samaritan’s Purse: Operation Christmas Child” this year from Monday, November 6th to Friday, November 17th. Each homeroom filled a shoe box with items for a boy or girl and will be delivered in time for Christmas. Calhoun Academy students filled 50 boxes.
"I think this project was important because we need to do our part as the holiday season approaches," said FCA Co-President Isabella Layton '24.
In addition, second grade students donated 94 non-perishable food items to the Council of Aging. They learned the importance of giving back through a friendly competition between the two homeroom classes.
