Meg Riley ('21) Named 2020 Homecoming Queen

Calhoun Academy celebrated Homecoming on Friday, September 25th. The week prior to the game, students participated in CA favorite tradition, Spirit Week. Our students from K3 to 12th grade dressed for a different theme each day. The week ended with a socially distanced pep rally for our Upper School students, and it was live streamed for Kindergarten and Lower School.

Our Varsity Football team hosted King's Academy with a win for our Cavaliers, 56 - 7. We were able to honor the following students on Homecoming Court: Rebekah Haigler ('21) sponsored by Joey Beougeois ('21); Belle Polin ('21) sponsored by Seth Tyson ('21); and Meg Riley ('21), sponsored by Josh Black ('21). Chairman of the Board, Roger Hill and former Homecoming Queen, Kailee Kizer ('20) crowned Meg Riley as the 2020 Homecoming Queen.

"Being elected the 2020 Homecoming queen is such an honor," said Riley ('21), "It makes me want to be an even better role model because now I’m aware of how many people I have impacted."

Thank you to all the students, teachers, and staff who helped make another successful Homecoming celebration!
