3) On going project for the year - along with the FCA (Advisor: Mims
Taylor)
Adopted Sharkey-Issaquena Academy in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. Sharkey
adopted 23 students and their families who lost their homes to Hurricane
Katrina. Sharkey is absorbing the cost of books, food, uniforms, etc., for
the students and their families. It cost an average of $600 to meet this
commitment. We ask for your FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION. ALL funds are forwarded
to the school. Make checks payable to Calhoun Academy Student Council.
4) The student council will re-open the canteen the week of October
10th.
